RE: Error installing xerces-p on Solaris 2.6

Hi Jason,

Thanks for responding.  You made my day.  Can you clear up a few things for
me?  This is what I think I need to do.
1.  run runConfigure
        I need to tell it which compiler I am using and what platform.  I
will be using cc and            CC and running under Solaris.  I found
runConfigure in the Xerces Samples directory.
2.  runConfigure also needs as a parameter the Configure script that is in
the autoconf
        directory?  Is this correct?
3.  What directory should I be working in?  Autoconf, Xerces source or
samples.

Your help is really appreciated.

Ok, in the future, the output of gcc -v, and uname -a are always
helpful for this sort of stuff, but your issue seems clear enough.

Show me the full output of the relocation error, your first letter
didn't indicate what missing there were. My guess is that this is a
'cerr' iostream issue, but I'm just guessing. Try relinking Xerces.so
by hand and add in -lstdc++ to the link line and see if that helps.
