Hello all,

I am using XeLaTeX, and a beautiful font developed by Storm Type Foundry named
"Baskerville 10 Pro". Unfortunately, something's not right.

When I try to compile I get the following error:

** ERROR ** sfnt: Freetype failure...

Output file removed.
(see the transcript file for additional information)
Error 256 (driver return code) generating output;
file thesis.pdf may not be valid.
Transcript written on thesis.log.

And, of course, I get no resulting PDF. At other times, if I attempt to plough
ahead and compile again, I get messages such as "charstring too long";
"charstring parser parsing charstring failed"; etc. And then, strangely, every
once in a while, I'll get a PDF. But if I typeset again, it's gone.

When instead I set the roman font to "Charis SIL", all is well.

Aside from the obvious fact that Mr Kew et al have encoded secret means to make
us all use Charis and other SIL fonts, and not the fonts of commercial
foundries ;-) : does any have any idea where I should begin?

All files are utf-8. I am using MacTex 2009, with Fontspec 2.0 manually updated.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Talal
