Hi Gareth

Actually bidipoem knows how to handle footnotes in general so you actually
do not need to use a combination of  \footnotemark and footnotetext (see
atached sample), however the situation that Heba is describing is more
complex and a combination of \footnotemark and \footnotetext is necessary.
