Hello. I haven't used XFCE in almost a decade but I was installing it today on
a neighbor's machine and we noticed when deleting a very large amount of file
(for example, the contents of a firefox source tarball), the 'preparing to
delete' dialog does not update when deleting actually starts. It keeps saying
'preparing to delete' or some similar text till the delete operation is over
and then it disappears.
There is no indication that deletion is in progress apart from disappearing
files.
This is with thunar 1.8.0
