I have recompiled libexo and after reverting that change from the link - https://git.xfce.org/xfce/exo/commit/?id=6fcefce9f1e7bb34cb65290c37f889481a677130 - the only visible difference is that columns now have slightly less padding/spacing (about 2px) between them. This is not a problem. I am asking about how to make smaller padding/spacing between items in the single column, like vertical padding/spacing between items/icons, like in Caja on the attached screenshot.
