GDM is what I use on F15-alpha and it "works" for the very little I need
from it ... apart from the funny little glitches like throwing you out
of your session if you add/modify any user account data such as using
useradd/usermod/userdel.

Well, for me the timed login, keyboard selection etc aren't issues at
all. However I can easily see them being highly important for others.
Looking through the gdm bugzilla items, there's preciously little
comments about eg keyboard selection related bugs (there are more than a
couple). Dunno... GDM used to be nice, feature-rich and configurable but
it seems over time all of that (or at least the documentation how to do
it if still possible) has been flushed down the drain :-/
