Generally I would suggest pulling Mate apps instead of Gnome apps where we don't have Xfce native ones, at least until Xfce switches to gtk+3. Not sure what the size differences would be, though, but Mate apps generally depend on GTK2, while Gnome apps on GTK3. Martin
