Hello Laurent,

I had similar problems with the i810 driver (using an Intel 830M/MG 
card) and XFree86 4.2.1 under FreeBSD 5.0. Though, the vesa and vga 
drivers both worked.

You could probably get rid of the "Symbol XAA*" errors by adding a 
Load "xaa" to the Module section. This worked for me but didn't fix the 
signal 11. I downloaded and compiled the XFree86 4.3.0 sources and this 
did eliminate the fatal server errors (and got XFree86 working).
