Hi, I have a problem that I can not fix. After startx I get the message "fatal server error: no screens found". I think it is the video card, I found a help request of someone else that has the same problem as I have and he has the same video chip (http://forum.mlug.org.au/bbshowpost.php?bbsubject_id=177)
My system is a pentium 166 mmx, and my video card is: vendor: sparkle (?) chip set: S3 Trio64V2/DX I use linux: 2.4.18-14 distribution: red hat 8.0, (7.3 gives the same problem) (See attached file: XF86Config.txt)(See attached file: XFree86.0.log) Do you know a work around for this? After serveral evenings I currently has given up trying and now think about bying a different video card. Joost ter Laak
