Success! Now I can get 75Hz @ 1600x1200 on my external monitor by adding just these two driver options: Option "CloneHSync" "30.0-95.0" Option "CloneVRefresh" "50.0-160.0" ...and removing all but "1600x1200" from the Modes line in the Screen section. The external monitor is detected and clone mode is automatically set. So, spaces aren't allowed inside these option strings of the radeon driver. Yet the Red Hat phoebe3 beta puts spaces in the HorizSync and VertRefresh ranges of the Monitor section. Is this a bug in XFree86 or in Red Hat? Also, the laptop's backlight is on even though the cover is closed; is this a known bug as well? > -----Original Message----- > From: hy0 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2003 9:40 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Knutsen, Mark > Subject: Re: [XFree86] Can't change hsync from 60Hz on > secondary display > - Radeon Mobility 9000 (M9) > > > > > (BTW: thanks for the help so far; I appreciate it!) > > > > > What about the CloneMode and CloneHSync options? > > > > Well, I tried.
