I have a problem when running XFree86 with KDE. When opening windows and typing into boxes, randomly the window will close. It's like it caught a keyboard input while typing that closed the window. Also, sometimes random characters will appear while I am typing in a console window when I didn't type anything near what it says on the console. Is my keyboard mapping wrong? I use an IBM laptop and I can't seem to figure out exactly which keyboard map to choose.
