Running Mandrake 9.1 and XFree 4.3, I've had no luck getting the x server to start (ERROR: Screens found but no usable config to use...). So my first instinct is to say no, this card will not work under XFree86.
I'm gonna buy a cheapo trident and try again. This h/w incompatibility is the only thing that will keep linux from being accepted by the masses. This card works under Windows.
