You do not have a GeForce2 MX. You have a GeForce4 MX, which
was not supported until XFree86 4.3. The logfile you attached
was not from 4.3, but from 4.0.3, a server which is two years old
and predates the GeForce4 MX. Upgrade to 4.3.
