Dear Sir/Madam,
Sub: X Server not loading after Java SDK 1.4.2 installed in RH Linux 9..
I am H.R.Shetty from Surathkal, Karnataka - INDIA.
I have installed RedHat Linux 9 (Server option selected) on a PC with following Configuration :
Pentium III 866MHz, 128MB RAM
20GB HDD, Intel 810 on-board AGP with 4MB Video RAM
15" Color monitor.
20GB HDD, Intel 810 on-board AGP with 4MB Video RAM
15" Color monitor.
While installing it detected monitor as SAM D556 and Graphics card as Intel 815. After successful installation, I have installed Java SDK 1.4.2. After the installation while logging out itself it said failed to start X Server. I have restarted but X Server not loaded and ultimately it forced me to select text mode.
I have also tried by connecting HP D2825 15" Color monitor. But same problem.
Kindly help me to solve this problem.
I have attached herewith some files in logs.tar (XFree86.0.log and XF86Config and etc., ) related to this error surfaced. Kindly go through the same.
