That one is with DRI enabled, and it isn't clear if its is related to what you're seeing or not. It's also with XFree86 4.3. I haven't seen any reports from Linux users with symptoms that match what you have reported. If there are any Linux users reading this that do see the same symptoms, with a recent development snapshot, please send a note with details.
