Today I installed XFree86 4.3.99.902 because I needed
the via_drv on my streaming client with a VIA Epia M
10000N. It works fine, but when I try to exit Ogle or
MPlayer (no matter if it played a DVD or a video file
before) the whole system crashes. I can't even move my
mouse pointer after that.
I don't get any error message, but when I change to
the console from which I started X, during playback,
there is a message "DRM fail free". When I try to
change back to X, the system crashes again.
My kernel version is 2.4.22. I compiled it with the
epia1- and the bootsplash-patch. The via and the
via_v4l modules load correctly during boot sequence.
