I've intall Windows 2000 and Linux (Mandrake 9.1) in my laptop. It has been running fine for than a year. About a week ago, after I switched on my laptop I was unable to go to the deskop login screen. It only allow me to work on the console screen. when type command 'startx' it give me a message that, there's a Fatal server error: could not open default font 'fixed'
The worst part of this whole is that I only access my file but I can not be able to copy them to another machine. the vfat file can not be found. I can not connect to the Internet so that I transfer the online to another computer. I can be glad if you can help me in this, so much of my files are at stake.
