Greetings.
I have upgraded to XFree86 4.4.0 and I've upgraded my
nvidia driver to the latest release, but my X-server still
intermittently hangs in what seems to be a busy loop. As
it has been pointed out to me that this might be a driver bug,
I've sent the following message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Any suggestions would be appreciated. This happens about
once a day, and always when I am trying to show somebody how
nice things are working :-).

Subject: Xserver/nvidia driver freezes
Greetings. Intermittently, my X-server freezes--I find it using 99%
of the CPU cycles, and not responding (except that the pointer
moves in response to the mouse). I can shell in and use gdb
to get a stack-trace of the X server, and I find:

I have SuSE 9.1, but with the kernel upgraded to 2.6.8.1,
the X-server upgraded to XFree86, and the nvidia x86_64-1.0-6629
driver installed. The machine is a processor AMD running in
64-bit mode. The card is a Quadro4 750XGL DH.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mike Albert
