I've installed Suse 9.0 on a Sony VGN-B1XP laptop which has an Intel 855 chipset and a 1400x1050 LCD.
Under XFree86 4.3.0 the best resolution I could achieve was 1280x1024, as the XFree86 logfile claimed there was no mode of name "1400x1050".
I tried installing 4.4.0 as someone suggested that this mode might be now supported, but I get the same problem.
Any ideas?
