Hello,
I would like to use an Xindice database stored on a CDROM.
I've "imagined" a process, but I don't know if such a process is possible, so I submit it to anyone interested:

1 create an Xindice database, with a "Contents" collection
2 specify the indexation of specific attributes and elements for the XmlResources that will be stored in the "Contents" collection
3 import in this Collection a big amount of small xml files that I have right now on my hard disk.
4 store the database files on a CDROM
5 install the Xindice server on a client machine and configure it to use the database files of the CDROM

I have also other volumetric concerns:
are the database files smaller or bigger than the initial set of xml files, and how to evaluate the compresion or expansion factor
what are the size of the index files ( the data stored for the indexation of attributes and elements) compared to the size of the initial set of xml files

thanks for any help,

Franck
