I've been able to store binary objects by converting them into a
suitable text form and maintaining which notation they're stored
in, such as UU or binhex encoding. I'm a bit late on delivering
the XNode API, but my implementation in Ceryle now stores any
text content (even really ugly HTML, as text) by using a CDATA
section as the storage node.
I'm now hoping to get the XNode API posted today or tomorrow
afternoon, as I've tested it enough to feel it's ready to go.
