Just a small clarification since this might sound a bit bad from a community POV: there is no work undergoing offlist, we aren't doing any conspiracy :-), we just had a private email exchange on side features of the MetaData XML representation namespace-wise, that's it. :-)
Please take a quick look at these changes, and let me know if there are any objections to adding this code to the tree. As I've said before, I think metadata is a fantastic feature that can help distinguish Xindice from other XML databases. I am sure that this implementation of metadata storage can be improved, but we must start somewhere.
Definitely. And even more: it's not that metadata might help distinguish Xindice from other XML database. It's actually the lack of metadata that distinguish Xindice from others. Meaning that others (the big players) have already them, we don't.
