Yes. I have created a series of patches and new files that will implement
the separate metadata. See this message
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xindice-dev&m=103946437104874&w=2 for the
files. However, I must warn you that this is not yet in the core of
Xindice, so it is liable to change. Nevertheless, I've been using it for
some time without problems. Let me know if you use it and have questions.

Subject: Sandbox code

For a project I have been working on we need metadata and full text
searching and I have been hunting around for existing work on the matter.
For full text I was hoping to use Lucene, but I noticed that there is some
prior work on Full Text searching in the sandbox. Does anyone know the
status of this code? Is it to the point where it works at all?

I have some development time so I am happy to either work on the partially
completed solution in the sandbox or perhaps work on integrating Lucene for
full text searches. Any thoughts?

My other requirement is metadata. I understand there are basically two ways
to do it, XNode and seperate documents. Is there any code (partially
completed or otherwise) for either approach with Xindice?

Lachlan Donald
