Yes. I have created a series of patches and new files that will implement the separate metadata. See this message http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xindice-dev&m=103946437104874&w=2 for the files. However, I must warn you that this is not yet in the core of Xindice, so it is liable to change. Nevertheless, I've been using it for some time without problems. Let me know if you use it and have questions.
