Looks good. I'd applied it, and I'm adding some more changes. And, answering to your previous email:
I assume that xindice.war.bat is used for command line access to the same database as a xindice servlet.
Actually, I wrote xindice.war.bat so it works when it is included into the WAR distribution, into the WEB-INF/ directory. Additionally, build script renames it to the "xindice.bat".
As such, one would normally want to use the same configuration as the servlet. However, when xindice is set up in this way, it *could* be used to access other databases via a separate configuration file, without installing xindice.jar.
True. That's now should be possible. I also plan to add one more script, for binary JAR distribution.
