Hi ,
I got this feature working finally.
I was expecting it to work when simply retrieving documents, e.g.
Xindice rd -c /db/samplecollection -n abc.xml
It only seems to work when used in conjunction with a query e.g.
xindice xpath -c /db/samplecollection -q "//[EMAIL PROTECTED]'book1']"
In the above case if the element or sub-elements retrieved contain the
necessary info e.g.
<deslink db:type="replace"
xmlns:db="http://xml.apache.org/xindice/XMLObject"
db:href="xmldb:xindice://localhost:4080/db/somecollection/P0001.xml"/>
Then the deslink element is replaced for the target data.

Hi,
as far as I can remember this feature is broken or at least
not considered stable. You probably have to do some coding
to get it running. There must be something in the archives ....
