migrate from 1.0 to 1.1b

Currently, my product is running on XIndice 1.0, but I want to migrate
it to v1.1b.

I'm using the java API as a layer between my product and the XIndice db.

Can I just "plug it in", do I have to make some minor modifications, or
will the modifications be rather heavy ?

Can someone give me an idea what I have to take into account to migrate
from 1.0 to 1.1b, using the java API ?
