Hi,

You may try xindice list_collections -l -c /db

Subject: Newbie installation question

Hello and sorry for this I promise I've spent time trying to track this
down in the archives etc.

I've got xindice 1.0 up and running ok with the /start command (running on
debian linux).

However, when I try to use xindice or xindiceadmin to (e.g.) list or add
collections, I simply get this:

bash-2.05$ xindice list_collections -c /db
/local/scratch/steve/servers/xml-xindice-1.0/bin/xindice: line 38: 2895
Aborted java -Xms16m -Xmx128m
-Dxindice.home="$XINDICE_HOME" -Dcmd.home="$CMD_HOME" $VMPROPS -classpath
"$CLASSPATH" $CLASS_NAME $*

I thought this might be a jdk thing (1.4.1-b21 by default) but I've tried
with 1.3.1_04 and 1.3.1 and the same thing happens. I've even tried it in
jdb but it aborts before the first breakpoint.

any ideas?

thanks

Steve
