I did this and now I can't even start my jboss server. Has anyone ever installed xindice on Jboss. If yes, then please help me.

Endorsed mechanism AFAIK wants to find jar files in
$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/endorsed directory. Try this path instead of yours; I
recently had the same problem and solved it this way.
