I'm not sure if any of you have considered that some people

people care that you think Xindice "sucked" or that eXist
"kicks ass" or "rocks" (how old are you guys anyway, 13?),
and if anyone wanted to know about eXist, they'd be on the
eXist mailing list (I was, but decided to use Xindice
instead). If you think Xindice sucks, why are you bothering
to post to its mailing list?
In reading over all these posts, I've yet to see any questions
or information whatsoever asking for or providing any sort
of qualitative comparison of the various competitive databases
(other than in the most cursory terms, as in the above messages).
If people are interested in such comparisons, there have been
*many* discussions in the past (check the archives), and there
are web pages devoted to such things (try searching Google on
"xindice exist comparison"). Furthermore, information on the
status of dbXML is readily available on the Web if anyone were
to bother to look. At dbxml.com, if that's not too obvious.
We're up to almost a dozen messages and there's yet to be any
valuable content that regards Xindice. If you guys want to talk
about eXist, please take it to the eXist mailing list. To those
here because of Xindice, it's just noise.
