Yes, I know. The minor code changes already in the repo are benign, or
ought to be so, on any platform.
The little patch is explicitly not part of what's been committed to git,
that's why it's included here.
(And also in #1174 <https://github.com/crosswire/xiphos/issues/1174>.)
It's just a useful tidbit so that RHEL 9 users who want to build still can.
