What ever the format is, How about making the docs available as a
commentable
online doc , like the mysql manual at www.mysql.com. I've always found
it the best manual for an open source product out there.

Hi

docbook is the choice for this matter cause it's XML and XML is easy and it
is the format everyone here should learn to know about. And there should be
a
XML editor for almost every OS. And if not it is even easy to edit with a
simple text editor.
It is good to have the ability to create serveral formats right out of one
source just on-the-fly. There must be a browsable version on the net and you

can provide printable versions in pdf or rtf format if you like and even
wap.
And the look and feel of this output only depends on your creativity.

And the rtf thing: I experienced often incompatibility between rtf docs
written on word and viewed on staroffice. It is terrible.
It can be infected by macro viruses.

And the samples by David Bitton surely are just a proof of concept and
therefor a good thing.

Btw i'd like to see a rtf sample anyway.

Regards
Stephan
