Hi there,

i've got some trouble with the sendmail replacement under linux. on every
run of sendmail, be it called with
1) sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /tmp/testmail
2) sendmail -i --input-file /tmp/testmail
3) sendmail [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] (CR, followed by random
text and closed with ".")

the following error appears when running xmail in debug mode (and ONLY in
debug mode, NOT in the LMAIL logfile, though started with the same
parameters!!)

LMAIL [00] error ( "Unable to open file" ):
/data/mailroot/spool/local/972413736.1254.bobby

i tested out the case while sendmail waits from the maildata from stdin (the
3rd example from above) and noticed that the files
972413736.1254.bobby
972413736.1254.bobby.Mail

are created both zero-lengthed. after giving the "." on the console those
files disappear and the above msg shows up in the console....
here come my xmail-parameters: -Mr 24 -Pt 60 -Pl -St 60 -Sl -Se
120 -Ql -Fl -Ct 60 -Cl -Ll (in the init.d/xmail script, with -Md when
calling xmail --debug)

any suggestions ?

bye,
jan.
