Ack... Okay... I feel a little foolish now. *meek smile* Seems that I had some DefaultSMTPGateways that didn't need to be there at all, and removing them seems to have cleared up the problem completely as best as I can tell immediately. :) The error, to answer your query, that was sent to user was that max delivery attempts had been made.
