[xmail] how to mail to user without @domain?

Hi, 
I am interested in replacing postfix at some linux machines by XMail. For this task I 
need the cron to be able to send messages to <root>. How can I arrange unqualified by 
domain name alias <root> to be delivered to real mail user?
