Hey sorry if these questions were answered in the readme; I could not find them there.
I am running xmail on a 2k box, which uses Cygwin for the telnet server and Pine on that. I want pine to read right off the mail spool, and to do that I BELIEVE I need it in mbox format. I understand I need to use econv to do that, but I don't have a clue how. I am a complete non programmer, and could not even get econv.c to compile into an actul program with the shareware compiler i downloaded (though I can give that another shot). Once I have that working, would I need to run econv as a service so it constantly updates the mbox folder? or would I need to run it manually every time I want to telnet in and use pine? also, second question, how do I shut off the SMTP authorization where it allows a client to relay for a certain amount of time after POP access?
