Now if Xmail was looking up dns records from the rrot-servers, then eventually xmail would be trying to lookup the dns server on itself but using the external IP. The packet would be blocked by the FW. No response from the DNS is the effect.
Setting SmartDNSHost to 127.0.0.1:tcp or something similar will fix.
