Can't insert coins in some games?

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this list and I'm french so please forgive me my poor
English:)

With some games (for example, Metal Slug), I can't insert credits to
start
a game. I found that it works with the DOS version of Mame. Is it a
XMame specific problem?

I'm using XMame 0.34b5.2
