Hello list, I would like to run "Mule" on the Atari 400/800/XL part of xmess. It works on the xatari800 emulator, but I hope that xmess will be able to handle the new 2.4 Joystick driver so I'll be able to play it with gamepads.
xmame-0.37b15.2 compiled a xmess.x11 successfully, however when I do './xmess.x11 a800' I get info: trying to parse: /games/xmess-0.37b15.2/lib/xmess/xmessrc info: trying to parse: /home/marc/.xmess/xmessrc info: trying to parse: /games/xmess-0.37b15.2/lib/xmess/xmess-x11rc info: trying to parse: /home/marc/.xmess/xmess-x11rc info: trying to parse: /games/xmess-0.37b15.2/lib/xmess/rc/a800rc info: trying to parse: /home/marc/.xmess/rc/a800rc Mouse/Trakball selected. loading rom 0: floatpnt.rom loading rom 1: atari800.rom done floatpnt.rom NOT FOUND atari800.rom NOT FOUND ERROR: required files are missing, the game cannot be run. I really tried to find out where to put the required roms (and were to get them), but I can't find a single hint both on xmame and mess docs. If I overlooked something, please tell me what to read. After I've done that, were do I put the .atr files? Sorry, all info is focusing on Mame, even 'xmess.x11 -showconfig|grep bios' has 0 results.
