I found out what the problem was -- the process's data segment size
was limited, by default, and this limit didn't suffice to decrypt the
graphics data. Once I did 'ulimit -d unlimited', kof2000 worked fine.
Now I should just know how to play it and not be beaten to crap by the
computer, but that's a problem for somewhere else ;)
