If you look closely at the names of the rom files, you'll see that most
of the sample files share the same name as their corresponding rom!
So they can't be placed in the same directory!

Now most of the games are having their samples removed as the emulation
improves (like asteroids, I think), but berzerk doesn't have any sound
for me unless I unzip the sample files into a berzerk directory within
the rom/sample path. So the rom is still zipped, but the sample must be
unzipped?! That makes no sense.

Please, please address this.

I have a MAME box console finished, and I'm finalizing the PC running
Linux kernel. But sound is missing on a few of my favorite games due to
this bug. I have to (by hand) clean up each sample directory since
romcenter (et al.) rom managers won't unless they're in zip format.

I'd forgotten about that one. I'll see what src/windows/fileio.c is doing
for the various paths and try to mimic that.

Thanks.
