When I start xmame sfa3 -ef 1 -noafs, after going through the initial rom
loading it "freezes" (xmame is a symlink xmame.x11)

Using a Visual with a depth of 16bpp.
It freezes here and doesn't get any further then this (i.e I'm assuming it's
trying to create an X11 window at this point.
xmame.SDL and XGL work fine, but their performance is no match for .x11,
anyone got any tips? if interested I will provide any info requested.
