Ya, I'm using the (X)mame debugger under Unix and also testing under OpenVMS Alpha.
My thoughts are the following on this.. One, it would be nice to have the current (x)mame debugger information in another window so things aren't so cluttered. Two, new debugger support would also be nice since that appears the way things are going. I would help out on this since I have GTK+ on OpenVMS, but currently I don't have the time and I'm fighting for time just to work on XMAME for OpenVMS let alone anything new. I've built into my OpenVMS script support to build the new debugger per the makefiles when it becomes available, but for now if the user tries to compile with the new debugger it will warn them it's not available and exit the script.
