With USB, I couldn't say since it requires the additional adapter (which I
don't have), but in the default configuration, which is plugged in between
your computer and your keyboard on the PS/2 port, it works great with any
xmame version, since it simply sends key presses! I've even used it on my
laptop (which doesn't have PS/2) by plugging it into another computer on
the LAN, and sharing the keyboard with synergy (synergy2.sf.net), and it
worked great :-)

It's overall a really great joystick, which enhances the overall "arcade
experience" ;-)

Oh, I see you're in France : I bought mine through LDLC last christmas,
they almost certainly still import/sell it.
