Hello

Is there a dedicated SDLMAME list? I'm unable to make it use
any of my joysticks. It just ignores any input.

The joypad fully works with "SDLJoytest-GL"

Detection seems to be fine from the verbose output:

Joymap: Start reading joymap_file /home/joker/.sdlmame/joymap.dat
Joymap: Logical id 0: WiseGroup.,Ltd MP-8888 USB Joypad
Joymap: Processed 2 lines
Joystick: Start initialization
Input: Adding Joy #1: ThinkPad HDAPS joystick emulation
Joystick: ThinkPad HDAPS joystick emulation
Joystick: ... 2 axes, 0 buttons 0 hats
Joystick: ... Physical id 0 mapped to logical id 1
Input: Adding Joy #2: ThinkPad HDAPS accelerometer data
Joystick: ThinkPad HDAPS accelerometer data
Joystick: ... 2 axes, 0 buttons 0 hats
Joystick: ... Physical id 1 mapped to logical id 2
Input: Adding Joy #3: WiseGroup.,Ltd MP-8888 USB Joypad
Joystick: WiseGroup.,Ltd MP-8888 USB Joypad
Joystick: ... 6 axes, 12 buttons 0 hats
Joystick: ... Physical id 2 mapped to logical id 0
Joystick: End initialization

I tested "joystick 1" in mame.ini and/or using "-joystick"
nothing activates joystick input. Of course the configs have
"Joy 1" as input configured everywhere.

In the "Input Setup" no joystick button or movement gets
accepted for configuration (it fully ignoes the joypad)

I'm out of clues as the joystick fully works on the OS level
and in all other apps.

I also doubt that it's because it does the numbering wrong
because the other jsX events also never get accepted in the
"Input Setup".

Christian
