e-business - a strategy and supporting infrastructure to conduct
business transactions with other business partners over the Internet, which
may include business-to-customer and/or business-to-government transactions.
Value Chain - a representation of a firm's activities including:
inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing & sales, and
service. These activities are supported by: technology development,
procurement, human resource management and corporate infrastructure.
Portal - single access point to disparate information originating
from multiple organizations.
Customer Intimacy -
XML - a meta-language, which enables a general availability and
interchange of information that is structured according to its content. The
term is also used to refer to a group of XML-related grammars.
e-procurement - the procurement of materials and/or supplies via
internet.
Demand Chain -
Infomediary -
Return on Time - a financial value based on increasing or decreasing
a product's time to market.
Reintermediation - the third step of the IDR cycle. Traditional
intermediaries are pushed out by Internet middlemen, and have to fight back
by establishing an Internet presence to regain their position.
