Subject: FIX Protocol Specification Version 4.2 - FINAL Draft Released

On behalf of the FIX Technical Committee, I am pleased to announce that the
FINAL draft of the FIX Protocol specification, Version 4.2, is now
available. It can be accessed via:

http://www.fixprotocol.org/cgi-bin/rbox/Spec.cgi?mode=draft&menu=10

or via the "What's New" section on the initial FIX website home page.

or via the FIX website's "Specifications", "Drafts" section

This FINAL DRAFT is intended for public review (less than one week) for
typographical errors and overall consistency. FIX 4.2 is now closed to new
features and changes in functionality.

The FIX Technical Committee has published two draft releases. Draft #1 was
released December 27, 1999. Draft #2 was released January 24, 2000.

The final version of the FIX 4.2 Specification will be released on March 1,
2000.
