Some time ago I made a request for "auto-executable" macros that would be
triggered each time a document is opened or saved, and I see that the
request is registered in the "user wishes" list on your web site. I don't
know where it is in your priority list, but I would like to add the
following qualification:

It would be useful if there were two macros associated with each operation:
one to be executed before the open/save operation, and one after. In the
case of a save operation, for example, the "before" macro would have access
to XXE's internal functions for manipulating the document, while the "after"
macro would be able to carry out post processing on the saved document
(initiate XSL transformations execute perl scripts etc.).
