I reinstalled everything, but still no luck: probably I never tried to
compile with
3.5.*, since my file myDocBook.xxe (attached below) does not make sense at all
with the new configuration.

I tried it, but it gives me an error. I thought it could be a problem
with my firewall,
and eventually downloaded it, zipped it (even if the docs say that it was not
necessary) and managed to install some addons, but still no luck. DocBook menu
remains with no "convert" menu.

I remembered it, and this is why I never upgraded. After all, I do not have to
work every day with DocBook :-)
