I'm almost sure that Java on the Mac relies on Mac OS X’s mechanism for
rendering fonts. Therefore, yes, this is possible.

I don't think we have any OpenType PostScript font installed on our
Macs, so may be this is why we don't have any problem.

If this is really a font problem, then a *possible* workaround is to
change the set of fonts used to render the styled view.

Please use Options|Preferences, View section, "CSS stylesheet defaults"
subsection, for that. More information in
