OK, thanks for letting me know not only its status but also when you plan to release the fix. > --- > PS: Your script installconfigonly should erase XXE v4.9 cache, otherwise > new users of your add-on will not see it (and existing users of your > add-on upgrading to a new version of XLingPaper may have problems too). > > This is done by deleting directory XXE_user_preferences_dir/cache/ Thank you for this tip. This sounds much better than merely trying to make sure all users do not use the quick start cache. > Such problems cannot occur if you tell your users to install your add-on > using "Options|Install Add-ons". Yes, I know. The problem is that while some of us find the Install Add-ons mechanism to be nice, many of our users do not have any comparable experience with such a mechanism. It's the kind of thing that might keep some of them from even trying to use the software, unfortunately. These users do, however, have a lot of experience with using installers. So that is why I've chosen to go this way. --Andy -- XMLmind XML Editor Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/xmleditor-support
